Career as Research Associate for Italy sponsored research at PGIMER

Applications are invited for the following temporary, adhoc post under a Department of Science and Technology and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Italy sponsored project entitled, "Genetic Basis of early-onset systemic lupus erythematosus in India", (Dr. Amit Rawat, Principal Investigator, Additional Professor, Department of Pediatrics) as per details given below:-

Post: Research Associate

The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963. The Institute was originally under the Government of undivided Punjab. After the reorganization of the state, the administrative control of the institute passed on to the Union Territory of Chandigarh in November 1966. The Institute became an autonomous body under the Act of Parliament in 1967 functioning under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

Qualification: PhD in Life Sciences/Biomedical Sciences preferably Immunology or Molecular Biology

Age (as on 29 January, 2018): Upto 40 years

Remuneration: Rs.36000/-per month plus HRA as per rules

*Stands to be revised as per ICMR rules. Interested candidates fulfilling the above conditions are required to submit their applications with complete bio-data and photograph along with photocopies of certificates/testimonials by 29th January 2018 (1200 HRS) in Room No. 4119, 4A, Advanced Pediatrics Centre and to appear for a personal interview along with original certificates on 30th January, 2018 {1500 HRS) in Committee Room, 3-A, Dept, of Pediatrics, Advanced Pediatrics Centre, PGIMER, Chandigarh. No Interview letters will be sent and No TA/DA will be paid.
