Job Description
Assist the Pharmacist in managing pharmaceutical care workload in the Retail Pharmacy setting. Assists pharmacists in medicine preparation and distribution for the KY Clinic Pharmacy or future discharge or retail pharmacy sites operating under University of KY Pharmacy Services. Fills prescriptions in a busy retail based setting. May include standing for greater than 5 hours at a time. May require the ability to reach items above shoulder level and be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Requires attention to detail and the ability to provide excellent customer service. Must be reliable and punctual. This position also requires teamwork, excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills. Must be able to effectively communicate.

Candidate Profile
Preferred Education/Experience
One year previous work experience (preferably in a related field). Prefer previous pharmacy tech experience or work/classes in medical field. Hired candidate must maintain certification as CPhT from PTCB/ExCPT during employment in this position.

This position requires dependability, and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

Shift: Operating hours are currently 730am-9pm Monday thru Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9am-5pm. May work a rotating shift during the week with every 5th weekend to include a weekend shift. Operating hours, shifts and days of the week subject to change based on the needs of the department. Expected to share in some holiday coverage at locations open on the UK Official holidays which is currently rotated among all ambulatory pharmacy staff.
