The Health & Family Welfare Department of the State Government has been vested with the responsibility of maintaining and developing the health care system in WB. Public health, sanitation and hospitals are the exclusive responsibilities of the State. State provides financial and managerial support for the basic health care support and infrastructural facilities at the rural level, while the State level super specialty Medical Colleges & Hospitals predominantly provides the ambulatory care services.

Post: Project Scientists - 2 posts

The posts are purely temporary and contractual in nature. Interested candidates from Indian National are requested to appear before the Selection Committee with an application on prescribed format. Candidates should produce original of mark sheets, certificates & testimonials for verification. The eligibility qualifications and number of tentative positions are given below:

Essential
Junior Research Fellow (One)-
Post graduate degree in Science discipline (Ayurveda / Pharmacy/ Chemical Technology / Biotechnology etc.) Post Graduate degree in Science disciplines

Senior Research Fellow (One)-
In the Medical subject (M.B.B.S) / B.D.S./  Ayurveda / M.V.Sc., B.Pharma or Post Graduate degree in Science disciplines with 2 years experience

 

Desirable
Research experiences in phytochemical analysis, handling of sophisticated Instruments (HPTLC, HPLC), in vitro and in vivo studies of drug development & Animal Experiment.

Expected number Of positions: Project Scientists: 2(Two) One - SRF & One JRF

Remuneration: Project Scientists: JRF-@16,400/-p.m. in the 1st & 2nd year and in the 3rd year-Rs. 18,400/-per month (consolidated) SRF-..Rs- 18,700/Per month( Consolidated) for three years

Walk-in-Interview will be held on 31.1.2017 at 10.30 a.m. at the conference room of Institute of Post Graduate Ayurvedic Education & Research, 294/3/1, A. P. C. Road, Kolkata for the engagement of Project Scientists for the project “Multi-dimensional scientific evaluation including in-vitro & in-vivo assessment and standardization of Ayurvedic vaginal tablets (Code-NA) for the treatment of Leucorrhea (excessive and abnormal vaginal discharge)” sponsored by Department of Science & Technology, West Bengal.

Note:
- The application form is attached herewith.
- Incomplete applications will be rejected.
- No TA/DA will be provided for appearing in the interview.
- Duration - Initially for one year which may be renewed on satisfactory performance for maximum two more periods of one year each.
