For SERB-DST funded Project entitled “Therapeutic patches with dissolving microneedles for the dermal delivery of acaricides for control of parasitic dermatitis” P.8265

Qualification (Essential) : M.Sc in basic sciences such as Physics / Chemistry (and allied branches) / Biochemistry / Biotechnology OR M.Tech in Polymer Technology or related fields. Qualified in any of the National Eligibility Test like – GATE or UGC-CSIR-NET or selected under National Level Exam conducted by agencies like DST, DBT, ICMR, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, IIT, IISc, IISER, SCTIMST, etc. or equivalent bodies.

Experience (Desirable) : Polymer processing and characterization, drug elution studies, knowledge in HPLC, in vitro and in vivo experiments.

Monthly emoluments : Rs. 37,000/- + 18% HRA

Age limit as on 01.02.2026 : 35 years

No. of vacancies : Existing—1 EWS (In the absence of eligible EWS candidates, UR will be considered.)

Duration : Initially for a period upto 30.05.2026, likely to be extended upto 30.05.2027.

Eligible candidates are required to apply ONLINE through Institute website (Link given below) and upload scanned copies of certificates to prove age, qualifications, experience and a valid Income and Asset certificate (for EWS candidates) in the prescribed format applicable for employment in Central Govt. Institutions issued by a Revenue Officer not below the rank of a Tahsildar.

The applications will be screened and eligible candidates will be called for an Interview to be conducted at the Biomedical Technology Wing of the Institute at Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram – 695 012. Intimation regarding the schedule of interview will be sent to their email id provided in the ONLINE application form. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Experience wherever prescribed means experience gained AFTER acquiring the prescribed essential qualification.

Note : Depending on the number of candidates, a written test of a qualifying nature will be conducted for initial screening and only qualified candidates will be called for interview. Marks obtained in the written test, if conducted, will not be counted for final ranking.
