Jadavpur University Introduces Research Opportunities in Pharmaceutical Sciences

Jadavpur University is a State University founded on 24 December 1955 under the Jadavpur University Act (West Bengal Act XXXIII of 1955). Originating in the anti-colonial National Council of Education, Bengal (1906) to “achieve self-reliance through the empowerment of youth by imparting the best of global knowledge, technical education, and awareness of social, cultural, political, economic realities of the state, the nation and the world” the university has consistently set new frontiers in science, technology, humanities and social science innovation and outreach; it has provided research and policy support for state and national governments and international bodies, and conventional and non-conventional technological development for society at large, including both established industries and disadvantaged groups, through innovation and adaptation.

The recruitment of One Project Research Scientist - I (Nonmedical) under the project titled “Chemical and drug-induced fatty liver disease: Cheminformatic modeling of molecular initiating events (MIEs) relevant to appropriate adverse outcome pathways (AOPs) of hepatic steatosis” sponsored by ICMR vide Sanction letter ICMR/38/7/SGP2025 Dated 28.01,2026 under the supervision of Prof. Kunal Roy as per details below.

Essential Qualification : 1st Class M.Pharm (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) or equivalent with one year of research experience
Duration : Two years
Fellowship : Rs. 56000/- pm + 30% HRA
Desirable Qualification : (1) The candidate should have prior experience in QSAR/Read-across or related model development; (2) GPAT qualification; (3) QSAR/read-across-related publications Age: As per the University norms
