Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences (ILBS) is an autonomous super-specialty institute of excellence under Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi. The vision of ILBS is to be a global leader by becoming a beacon of patient care, teaching and research in the field of Liver and Biliary diseases and allied disciplines. The Deemed-to-be-University status was conferred to ILBS by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. The Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences (ILBS) is running National Medical Commission (NMC) recognized super-specialty Post-Doctoral Degree Courses in Hepatobiliary.

The institute is inviting application for admission in Ph.D, (MCM) course for the academic session starting from 01s1 April 2026, as per the details given below

Eligibility : NET qualified candidates with JRF Fellowship (Category-1 as per NET) Applicants who have cleared a national level examination like CSIR/UGC-NET JRF, DBT-JRF, ICMR-JRF need to appear for a Direct Interview. (Master’s Degree in Biological Sciences (Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Zoology, Microbiology) or a Professional degree (MBBS, Master Degree in Medical or Dental Sciences, M.Tech. M.Pharma M.V.Sc, declared equivalent to Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory body. Candidates should have secured minimum 60% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade as per UGC rules.

Duration of the Course : Ph.D - 3-5 years duration
