The Central University of Punjab, has been established in 2009 along with other new Central Universities by an Act of Parliament (No 25, of 2009). Central University has completed a remarkable journey of 13 years. University is accredited ‘A+’ grade in 2023 in second accreditation cycle by NAAC and has secured 95th, 87th and 84th, 81st, 100th and 83rd rank in the year 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 respectively in the University category of NIRF. It is credited with highest per capita research funding.
Post : Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Applications in the prescribed format are invited for the following Project Position(s) on a purely temporary basis
Title of the Project : Redefining the diagnosis of cognitive disorders: Harnessing the potential of cognitive marker detection in blood platelet for early and accurate intervention
Funding Agency : Cognitive Science Research Initiative (CSRI) - Department of Science and Technology (DST), New Delhi
Project Duration : Three Years
Emoluments : Rs. 37000/- + 10% HRA
Term of engagement : Initially for a period of 01 Year, further extendable up to 3 years and/or co-terminus with the Research Project based on satisfactory work & conduct of the project.
Essential Qualification : First class M. Sc. life sciences/Biochemistry/Zoology, Biotechnology [55% for SC/ST/OBC (NCL/PWD] with NET/GATE qualified score card; The above qualification(s) must be from the recognised Board/ University/ Institute or Foreign University.
Desirable Qualification :
1. Experience in platelet biology and hemostasis
2. Familiarity with neurological disorders
3. Adequate experience animal handling.
4. Experience in scientific manuscripts and patent drafting.
5. Good communication skills
Age : 1Upto 28 years as on date of interview (Relaxation in age is permissible for SC/ST/OBC/Female candidates as per Government of India rules)
Terms and Conditions
i. The above-mentioned post(s) is/are purely temporary for limited period or duration of Research Project funded by the funding agency
ii. Applicants shall be required to show the original documents at the time of interview/joining
iii. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
iv. The University reserves the right to withdraw this advertisement or increase/decrease the number of posts at any time without assigning any reason.
v. The right is also reserved with the University either to fill or not to fill the vacancies. The decision of Competent Authority of the university in this regard shall be final.
vi. Suppression of factual information, supply of fake documents, providing false or misleading information or any other undesirable action by the candidate shall lead to cancellation of his /her candidature. In case, it is detected at any point of time in future even after engagement that the candidate was not eligible as per the prescribed qualification, experience etc. which could not be detected at the time of Test/Interaction cum Interview due to whatever circumstances, his/her engagement shall be liable to be terminated forthwith as per this clause and also based on his/her undertaking.
vii. The rules and regulations of Central University of Punjab and funding agency will be applicable to the selected candidates
viii. In case of any dispute, the decision of the University will be final.
