National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Kolkata, is an Institute of National importance under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India. NIPER Kolkata has established a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Flow Chemistry and Continuous Manufacturing.
Applications are hereby invited for the engagement of the below posts at the Centre of Excellence in Continuous Manufacturing purely on a temporary basis for a duration of 1 year, and further may extend up to 3 years based on the candidate's performance.
Research Associate-I (01 post)
Upper age limit (Yr) : 35
Educational qualification and experience / skill : First class master’s degree (M.Pharm / M.S. (Pharm) / M.Tech) in Pharmaceutics / Quality assurance / Industrial Pharmacy with 03 years of experience in Academic/Industry Research/ product design and development with at least one research paper in SCI journal. Candidates having experience in solid oral dosage forms are desirable.
Salary : 58,000/- +HRA
Job description : The candidate should develop new formulations in a laboratory using continuous and traditional batch processes, write manuscripts for scientific publications, and perform other assigned research work.
Research Associate-II (01 post)
Upper age limit (Yr) : 40
Educational qualification and experience/skill : Ph.D in Pharmaceutics / Industrial Pharmacy with 02 years of experience in Academic / Industry Research/ product design and development with at least one research paper in SCI journal. Candidates having experience in solid oral dosage forms are desirable.
Salary : 61,000/- +HRA

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) (01 post)
Upper age limit (Yr) : 45
Educational qualification and experience/skill : PhD in Pharmaceutics / Pharmaceutic al Sciences/relevant field. Should have a minimum of 05 years of research experience, out of which 02 years should be in solid oral dosage forms development activities in the industry or M.Pharm in Pharmaceutics / Quality Assurance / Industrial Pharmacy with 10 years of research experience in Academic / Industry out of which 05 years should be in solid oral dosage forms development activities in the industry. Candidates having patents and publications in continuous manufacturing / relevant technologies/ formulations are highly desirable.
Salary : 1,00,000/- +HRA
Job description : Managing the project-related work, collaborating with industries and transfer of technologies, designing the projects, training the academic and industrial researchers on Continuous manufacturing, planning for generating revenue for the centre and performing other assigned work.
Terms and conditions
1. The above position is purely contractual and initially for a duration of 1 year.
2. Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim for regular appointment/absorption in the institute.
3. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
4. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature.
5. Medical benefits for current research fellow will also be extended to the newly joined incumbent for the above said position.
