During that time with the help and support of Dr. B.C. Roy an eminet physician and then chief minister of West Bengal, the foundation of the present day Chittaranjan Cancer Hospital(CCH) was laid.The hospital was formally inaugurated by Prof. Madam J.Curie in January 2,1950 and named after Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das, as a tribute to and in the acknowledgment of the enormous donation of his land and property for the cause.Initially this was a Cancer treatment centre, which gradually expanded its activities in basic and clinical research with the assistance from goverment funding organzations.This eventually led to the founding of the Chittaranjan National Cancer Research Centre (CNCRC),funded by the Goverment of India in 1957, which was committed to basic research on cancer.

Director CNCI, Kolkata, invites interested applicants for attending a walk-in-interview to be held on 25.02.2022 at 11 AM in the CNCI Auditorium (5th floor of Research Wing) for recruitment of one Project Assistant in DST INSPIRE FACULTY sponsored project on “Targeting Cancer Stem Cells through peptide decorated Nano-formulations” under Dr. Gaurav Das, Principal Investigator, in the Department of Signal Transduction and Biogenic Amines, CNCI.
Essential Qualification : First class M.Sc in Biological Sciences / Molecular Biology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology
Duration : Initially for 1 year, extendable up to 5 years, subject to annual review of the work done.
Fellowship : Rs. 16000/- per month (consolidated)
Age limits : Maximum 28 years as on the date of publication of the advertisement (relaxable for suitable PWD/SC/ST/OBC/women candidate, as per Govt. Rules).
We are looking for an enthusiastic project assistant to work collaboratively with our project team.
