National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER), Hyderabad is an "Institute of National Importance" with proclaimed objectives of becoming Centre of Excellence for advanced research in pharmaceutical sciences. NIPER-Mohali was the first institute established in the year 1998 under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, the Govt. of India. Later, the DOP established 6 new NIPERs across the country including NIPER-Hyderabad which started functioning from 19th October 2007, from the premises of erstwhile R&D Centre of IDPL, Balanagar, Hyderabad.
Post : Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
Applicants are invited from suitable candidates for the position of a Senior Research Fellow (SRF) in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) - Hyderabad, for the project entitled “Effect of type 2 diabetes mellitus on expression of molecular chaperons and protein aggregation in hippocampus of ageing brain.” under PI, Dr. Shashi Bala Singh as per the eligibility criteria mentioned below.
Duration : The project duration is of 3 years.
Salary : Rs 35,000 + 24% HRA
Criteria : M.Sc. in Life Sciences with minimum of 2 years experience or M.Pharm. with minimum of 1 year experience in molecular biology and neurobiology. Candidates with experience in preclinical studies, cognitive behavioural science and 2D proteomics is desirable.
