The Municipal Council for Nagpur was established in 1864. At that time, the area under the jurisdiction of the Nagpur Municipal Council was 15.5 sq. km and the population was 82,000. The duties entrusted to the Nagpur Municipal Council were to maintain cleanliness and arrange for street lights and water supply with government assistance. In 1922, the Central Provinces & Berar Municipalities Act was framed for the proper functioning of the Municipal Council.

Remuneration (Per Month Consolidated) : Rs 10,000/-
Age Limit : Should not be more than 43 years backward class and age should not be more than 38 years for open.
Terms and Conditions
1) In respect of experience only experience under Govt., Semi-governing body, local self-government or National Urban Health Mission will be considered.
2) The candidate should be resident of Maharashtra State.
3) Candidates will be required to submit the post for the post mentioned separately in the morning at 9 am, all necessary documents should be present.
4) The posts above will remain in net contract form under National Urban Health Mission. They have nothing to do with the establishment of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation. Salary for the posts is a combined honor.
5) Since all the above posts are filled in contractually, it will not apply to civil service rules.
6) The number of unit posts or reservation may change.
7) Retirement officer / employee will get paid less than the salary which is received before retirement.
8) Head posts are to be filled only in net contract manner and the posts will be terminated automatically after the project is closed.
9) No allowance of any kind will be allowed for the candidates who are present for the interview.
10) Candidates who qualify for the interview should attend the interview with a set of required documents and a set of xerox copies in the interview.

• Applicant is a resident of Maharashtra State. Birth Date Certificate (School / College Suite Certificate / Birth Certificate) Identity Card - Final year marks of Aadhaar card / voting card / Driving License for basic education qualification and registration certificate obtained by the Government in terms of rank.
• PG Degree and PG Diploma Certificate (PG Degree) without the basic academic qualification required for the post.
• Retirement Certificate of Service if applicable to Medical Officer.
