National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences is a multidisciplinary Institute for patient care and academic pursuit in the frontier area of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences. The Lunatic Asylum which came into being in the latter part of the 19th Century was renamed as Mental Hospital in 1925 by the erstwhile Government of Mysore. This hospital and All India Institute of Mental Health established in 1954 by Government of India were amalgamated on 27th December 1974, and thus was formed the autonomous National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS).
Post : Technical Officer
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up a post of Technical Officer on contract basis in the NARI funded project titled- “National Aids Reference Laboratory on Quality Consortium” under Dr.Anita Desai, Professor & Head, Dept. of Neurovirology & Principal Investigator.
Educational Qualification : Masters degree in Microbiology/Virology/ Biotechnology.
Desirable experience : 3 years experience in a diagnostic microbiology laboratory and serology/molecular biology preferred.
Salary structure : Rs.25,000/- per month (Consolidated)
Maximum Age limit : 30 years
Tenure of appointment : Initial appointment will be for a period of one year (extendable further upon satisfactory performance of the candidate)
