The Indian Registry of Pathology (IRP) was established in 1965 under the auspices of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) in New Delhi, India as a Centre for collection and distribution of teaching material in pathology. The Registry was renamed in 1980 as the National Institute of Pathology (IOP) in view of its expanded scope and activities. As per the need of the post-independence era when a large number of new medical colleges were coming up, IRP took up the initiative with the original aims and objectives of collection, classification, duplication and distribution of a representative spectrum of histopathological teaching material to several medical colleges, institutions, individual pathologists and clinicians.

Post : Research Associate

National Institute of Pathology (NIP), New Delhi, a permanent institute under Indian Council of Medical Research, Dept, of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt, of India, invites application for the contractual post of Research Associate (Un-Reserved) in a DBT funded project, Pricipal investigator-Dr. Sapna Negi.

Project Title: Exploratory study to identify gut bacterial peptides(s), if any, associated with autoimmune late onset diabetes.

Duration of Project: Two years

Salary: Rs. 36000/- + HRA as per central Govt. rule.

Duration of contract: The appointment will be made on consolidated pay initially for a period of 12 months, likely to be extended on the basis of their performance for another one year or till the end of the study period of the project.

Essential eligibility criteria: Research associate should be a Ph.D in relevant subject or with equivalent degrees like MD / MS / MVSc / M.Pharm / M.Tech from a recognized organization/university. The Research Associate will draw a salary of INR 36,000/month + HRA as per govt, of India rules.

Desirable: Candidate having worked with human/animal samples and having experience of ELISA will be preferred.

Age limit: Upper age limit is 35 years for male and 40 years for female candidate (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per govt, of India rules.

Job Requirement: He/She will be required to work with human blood and fecal sample from Type II Diabetes patients, perform laboratory experiments and analysis on computer.

Those candidates who are working in Govt, organization/ Public undertaking/ autonomous body should bring a No bjection certificate from his/her employer. It may be noted that no TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. All candidates must bring 10th class certificate as proof of age and caste certificate to avail age relaxation.

Note: Reporting time is 9:30 am and candidates appearing after 10:30am will not be entertained.
