Opportunity for M.Pharm, M.Tech or M.S Pharm as Scientist at NIPER

Applications are invited from eligible Indian nationals for the following temporary positions under a project entitled “Overcoming the nephrotoxicity and oral delivery challenges of Amphotericin B vis strategic prodrug and nanomedicine approaches” sponsored by ICMR [GP-492] under Prof. Sanyog Jain, Department of Pharmaceutics, NIPER-SAS Nagar. These positions are purely on a temporary basis, initially for a period of 01 year and may be extended for a maximum period of 04 years subject to availability of funds and is co-terminus with the duration of the project.

Age Limit : 28 years
Remunerations : Rs. 56,000/- p.m. plus HRA, as admissible.
Essential Qualification : First class M.S. (Pharm.) / M.Pharm. / M.Tech. (Pharm.) or equivalent degree in Pharmaceutics/Pharmaceutical Technology/Industrial Pharmacy or equivalent branch.
Desirable Qualification : Candidates having experience in nanoformulation development, polymer synthesis, molecular biology based cell culture assays and pharmacokinetic / pharmacodynamic / toxicity studies in animals will be given preference.

Tenure of the positions : These positions are purely on a temporary basis, initially for a period of 01 year and may be extended for a maximum period of 04 years subject to availability of funds and is co-terminus with the duration of the project. Selected candidates will be allowed to registered for PhD program as per NIPER rules.

The candidate(s) who fulfil the eligibility criteria may appear for a walk-in-interview along with the application form to be held on 22nd December, 2025 (Monday) from 2:30 PM onwards in Room No. E-109, Department of Pharmaceutics, NIPER-SAS Nagar – 160062 (Punjab). The duly filled application form must be submitted at the time of the registration from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Rom No. E-116. The candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates would not be interviewed.

The application fee as detailed below is required to be submitted at the time of the interview in the form of a Demand Draft in favour of ‘Director, NIPER-SAS Nagar’ payable at SAS Nagar (Mohali)/Chandigarh :
i. Application fee for General and OBC category candidates: Rs. 500/-
ii. Application fee for SC/ST/PWD/female candidates : NIL
Application fees in other forms will not be accepted.

• Candidates shall have to produce original documents/testimonials at the time of the interview, failing which, such candidates shall not be allowed for interview. The original certificates/degrees etc. of the candidate(s) are subject to verification before joining, in case of selection.
• Candidates with incomplete application or without relevant supporting enclosures (i.e. self-attested copies of degree/certificates/marks sheets/experience certificate/reprint of important publications, without photographs, signatures, and prescribed fee) will not be interviewed.
• Age relaxation for SC / ST / OBC / PWD etc. will be as per the Government of India rules. The candidates are required to attach valid proof for claiming relaxation as per the guidelines prescribed by the Government of India from time to time.
• Mere possession of essential/desirable qualifications and experience does not guarantee selection for the post. Candidate will be selected on merit and need of the project basis.
• In exceptionally meritorious cases or under special circumstances, the eligibility requirements of age, educational qualification, and experience for the position may be relaxed.
• The process of selection may include a presentation/interview or any other process as decided by the Competent Authority.
• The Institute reserves the right to withdraw the advertised post at any time without assigning any reason. Institute also reserves the right to fill or not to fill post and its decision in this regard shall be final.
