Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is an Institution of National Importance established through an Act of Indian Parliament by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India under the auspices of UNESCO. The primary focus of RCB is to provide world class education, training and conduct innovative research at the interface of multiple disciplines to create high quality human resource in disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas of biotechnology.

Title of Project : Identification of lead molecules for development of novel therapeutic strategies against viruses.
Age Limit : 35 Years.

Duration : Initially for one year and may be extended further after review.
Essential Qualifications : Post-graduate degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Bioinformatics or equivalent with minimum 60% marks. The candidate should have qualified the NET/GATE or any other National-level examination conducted by central government departments and their agencies & institutions. Practical knowledge of recombinant DNA technology, protein purification, macromolecular crystallography and computational drug discovery is required. The candidate should have knowledge and research experience in enzymes that act on nucleic acids.
Desirable Qualifications : The candidate should have experience of working on viral proteins.
