Jadavpur University Hiring M.Pharm, MSc, MTech candidates to work under Ministry of AYUSH funded research project

To trace the history of Jadavpur University is to trace a part of India’s freedom movement, at least from the Swadeshi Movement onwards. It was 1905 -1906. Bengal stood divided. The times were feverish. The hegemony of the British establishment had to be challenged. Education had to play a new role in this changed scenario. It had to become a new form of resistance through which the emergent nationalist spirit could be propagated. With this in mind the National Council of Education (NCE) came into being.

Applications are invited from highly motivated candidates for the position of Research Associate-I, Project Associate-I and Scientific administrative assistant/Field worker in Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), Ministry of AYUSH funded research project entitled “Toxicological Evaluation, Safety Assessment, and Metabolomic Profiling of Selected Ayurvedic drugs and Formulations” under Prof. Pulok Kumar Mukherjee (Principal Investigator) at the School of Natural Product Studies, Jadavpur University, Kolkata.

Research Associate-I (02 posts)
Remuneration (Rs) : 58000 + HRA
Qualifications : Essential : Ph.D in Pharmacy / any field of Life Sciences or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after MVSc / M.Pharm / M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal; Minimum 60% marks for General/OBC candidates (55% for SC/ST/PH).
Desirable : Research experience in the domain of natural products, animal handling, analytical techniques and pharmacological assays; Prior hands-on experience in laboratory molecular biology techniques and bioinformatics tools.
Age limit : Not exceeding 40 years as on the last date of application, with relaxation to Female/SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India norms.

Project Associate-I (06 posts)
Remuneration (Rs) : 37000 + HRA
Qualifications : Essential : Post Graduate in Pharmacy / Ayurveda / Life Sciences / Veterinary Science; Minimum 60% marks for General / OBC candidates (55% for SC/ST/PH).
Desirable : Research experience in the domain of natural products, animal handling, analytical techniques, pharmacological assays and bioinformatics.
Age limit : Not exceeding 35 years as on the last date of application, with relaxation to Female/SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India norms.

Scientific administrative assistant / Field worker - 01
Remuneration (Rs) : 24000 + HRA
Qualifications : Essential : Graduate in Pharmacy/Ayurveda/ Life Sciences/ Veterinary Science; Minimum 60% marks for General/OBC candidates (55% for SC/ST/PH).
Age limit : Not exceeding 35 years as on the last date of application, with relaxation to Female/SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India norms.

Duration : The candidates would be appointed initially for a tenure of 01 year, which may be extended up to 03 years or the termination of the project, based on his/her performance.
