IBSD Advertisement for Chemistry / Pharmacology candidates

This refers to our earlier notice regarding Personal Interview (Advertisement No. IBSD/ADV/44) for selection of Research Associate-I (01 no.) published in the The Shillong Times daily newspaper dated 18th June, 2025 and IBSD Website. There are partial modifications in the mode of Selection. Now, applications are invited from suitable candidates for the post of Research Associate-I (01 no.) for the project entitled “Evaluating medicinal plants from Northeast India in Mitigating ailments associated with metabolic dysregulations” funded by Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India.

Essential Qualification : Ph.D./MD./MS/MDS in Botany / Chemistry / Pharmacology or equivalent degree or having 3 years research, training and design and Development experience
Desirable : Candidate with experience in ethnobotany, phytopharmaceutical, drug development with proven record will be given preference.

Upper Age Limit : 35 (relaxable for reserved categories as per GoI norms).

Fellowship : 58,000/- + 8% HRA
Emoluments details of research personal mentioned in table shall be applicable only if candidate met educational qualification and eligible criteria as per DST O.M. SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated 10.07.2020.

1. The above positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. Selected candidatesshall not claim for regular appointment either in IBSD, Imphal and its branches or DBT, New Delhi.
2. Selected candidates have to work at IBSD-Shillong Centre, Meghalaya.
3. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.

6. Interim queries will not be attended.
