The Institute for Stem Cell Science & Regenerative Medicine (instem.res.in), Bangalore is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. BRIC-inStem’s mandate is to establish collaborative research programs in the field of stem cell biology, regeneration, and repair in development and disease, with an emphasis on translation. To develop strengths in focused areas, research at BRIC-inStem is driven through collaborative interdisciplinary teams, addressing questions that are beyond the scope of a single laboratory.

We are looking for dedicated professionals who are result-oriented, can assimilate, analyze and communicate data effectively and are excellent team players capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.

Junior Research Fellow
Salary : Rs. 31,000/m+ HRA (Net Qualified) (or) Rs. 25,000/m+ HRA (Non-Net Qualified)

Qualification & Experience : Essential Qualification : Integrated Master’s degree in Molecular Biology.
Experience : Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience with demonstrated skills in :
• Primary cell culture, microscopy, molecular biology techniques, and cell-based assays.
• Data analysis, project updates, literature surveys, and scientific presentations.
• Scientific writing, including preparation of reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and reference management tools.
• Skilled in data interpretation, organization, and management.

Job Description : The selected candidate will work in an industrial project in collaboration with inStem. The primary objective is to evaluate and characterize drug candidates using advanced 2D and 3D cell culture platforms. Responsibilities include investigating drug effects on mitochondrial function and related cellular processes, contributing to the development of innovative therapeutic strategies. The role offers the opportunity to work at the interface of industry and research, involving experimental design, execution, data analysis, and collaborative reporting to achieve project milestones.

Senior Project Associate
Salary : Rs. 42,000/m+ HRA (NET Qualified)

Qualification & Experience : M.Sc. in Zoology from a recognized university and minimum five years of laboratory experience
Job Description : Academic and industry project coordinator

Tenure : Contractual appointment for 11 Eleven months, renewable based on requirement and review of progress and requirement of the Grant.
