The history of Jamia Hamdard begins with the establishment of a small Unani clinic in the year 1906 by Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed, one of the well-known practitioners of Unani System of Medicine of his time. Hakeem Hafiz Abdul Majeed had a vision of making the practice of Unani Medicine into a scientific discipline so that Unani medicines could be dispensed in a more efficacious manner to patients. He gave the name Hamdard to his venture which means sympathy for all and sharing of pain. His illustrious son, Hakeem Abdul Hameed, carried forward the philosophy and objectives of Hamdard in independent India.

Remuneration : 42,000/- + 24% HRA
Duration : Initially the position will be for one year which is extendable till termination of the fellowship (December 2025) on yearly basis depending on the performance.
Age limit : 45 Years (Maximum)
Essential Qualification : Doctoral Degree in Science/ Engineering/ Technology/ Pharma/ MD/ MS from a recognized University. Must have experience of research in the field of virology/ molecular Biology/ Biochemistry/Immunology or other biological sciences.
Desirable : A person highly passionate about research and having experience in molecular biology, microbiology, immunology and microscopy techniques.
Procedure of selection : Candidates are requested to appear in walk in Interview on January 6, 2022 from 10 AM onwards (Venue- Department of Biotechnology, School of Chemical & Life Sciences). The candidate needs to bring his/her original documents, Biodata, Photo identity proof.
