Applications are invited for filling up of following posts under the Medical College level Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratory, Department of Microbiology, GMC, Anantapuramu, Andhra Pradesh, for a period of one year purely on contractual positions as per below mentioned details:
Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)
Educational Qualifications
Essential:
• 1st class M.Sc (Medical Microbiology / Virology / Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Life Sciences) from recognized university. OR
• 2nd class M.Sc + PhD degree (Medical Microbiology / Virology / Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Life Sciences) from recognized university.
Desirable:
• PhD (Medical Microbiology / Virology / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Life Sciences) shall be counted as a two year of research experience.
• Experience in ICMR / DHR / IDSP / CSIR / DBT / any other project / Medical college.
• Having research publication in indexed journal.
• Additional Post-doctoral research / training experience in relevant subjects from a recognized institute(s).
• Knowledge of Computer Applications / Business Intelligence tools / Data Management.
• Two years R&D / Teaching experience in relevant subject after obtaining essential qualification.
Note:
i) PhD degree in relevant subject shall be treated equivalent to 3 years experience respectively.
ii) Candidates with MD will be preferred for Direct requirement.
Contractual Salary per month Fixed (in Rupees ) : Rs. 33,306.00
Research Scientist-I (Medical)
Educational Qualifications
Essential:
• MD/DNB Microbiology from MCI recognized Medical college/institute with First class relevant degree
OR
• MBBS from MCI recognized Medical college/institute with 3 years research experience
Desirable:
• Experience in ICMR / DHR / IDSP / CSIR / DBT / any other project / Medical college.
• Publication in indexed journal.
• Additional Post-doctoral research / training experience in relevant subjects from a recognized institute(s).
• Knowledge of Computer Applications / Business Intelligence tools / Data Management.
• Two years R&D / Teaching experience in relevant subject after obtaining essential qualification.
Note:
i) MD shall be treated equivalent to 3 years experience respectively.
ii) Candidates with MD will be preferred for Direct requirement.
Contractual Salary per month Fixed (in Rupees ) : Rs 43,489.00
Research Assistant
Educational Qualifications
Essential:
• MSc (Medical Microbiology / Virology / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Life Sciences) from recognized university
Desirable:
• Preference will be given to the candidate having experience in ICMR/DHR/IDSP/CSIR/DBT/any other project/ Medical college/Govt Institute.
• Knowledge of Computer Applications / Business Intelligence tools / Data Management.
Note: i) MD shall be treated equivalent to 3 years experience respectively.
ii) Candidates with MD will be preferred for Direct requirement.
Contractual Salary per month Fixed (in Rupees ) : Rs 19,481.00

Terms and Conditions:
1.Posts are purely temporary. Appointments will be on contract basis initially for a period of 11 months and may be extended further based on the tenure of the Project. However, the appointment can be terminated at any time even before the end of the contract period without giving any notice. In case of such premature termination, one month's notice or one month’s salary in lieu of the same will be provided. The same will not hold true in case of premature termination due to performance related issues. Candidate can leave the job prematurely giving one month's notice or one month’s salary in lieu of the same.
2. Qualification: Qualifications and degree should be from recognized Institution/ University.
The age limit - Research Scientist-I (Medical)/ (Non-Medical): 18-45 years. Research Assistant:18-35 years
3. Application :
Candidates have to download the application from gmcatp.in and submit the application form as per the format, through speed post/registered post in the name of The Principal, Govt. Medical College, Anantapuramu, Andhra Pradesh, 515001, super scribed as “Application for the VRDL contractual Post” on or before 08/01/2018 by 05.00 pm. It is the sole responsibility of the candidate to track for the application and the undersigned is not responsible for any postal delay. The candidate needs to submit the application as per the format. The number of rows may be added if desired by the candidate. No change in serial no, order and the heading of column to be made. The application in the said format is to be properly typed and signed. Two recent self signed passport sized color photographs are to be attached with stapled/pinned on first page of the Performa format. One set of Photostat copies of certificates self signed and duly attested by gazetted officer must be attached with the application form
Application Fee:
1) Research Scientist-I (Medical): Rs 600
2) Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical): Rs 500
3) Research Assistant: Rs 300
Application fee (Non-refundable) in the form of DD drawn in favour of ‘The Principal, Government Medical College, Anantapuramu’ should accompany the Application Form.
4. Selection procedure:
The applications received will be scrutinized by the selection committee. Recruitments will be made through Interview and a written test will be conducted if the eligible candidates are more than 30. Selection is based purely on merit. The list of candidates found eligible will be displayed on college website. The candidates are advised to check the college website gmcatp.in for the date, time and venue for the interview or written test. No separate communication will be sent to the candidates. Recruited candidates will be notified through email.
5. Other Instructions:
• These are purely contractual posts and as such they will not have any claim whatsoever for regularization in Govt. Medical College, Anantapuramu. The mere fulfilment of requisite essential qualification/experience does not guarantee selection.
• During the period of the project as well as on its termination, The Govt. Medical College, Anantapuramu will have no legal liabilities relating to staff.
• Performance will be assessed on a regular basis.
• Contract can be terminated at any time based if the performance of the candidate is found un-satisfactory, his/ her service can be terminated in that stage without giving a notice.
• Candidates will have to submit an affidavit at the time of joining that they will accept all the general instructions & terms and conditions related to the post.
• Contract Service rules related to Leaves etc. are applicable.
• No TA/DA will be paid, neither for appearing in the interview nor for joining the assignment and for the period of work.
