Opportunity for B.Pharm/M.Pharm/M.Sc (19 posts) in R&D at Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine

Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM) is a national Institute of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) of India, with primary focus of research on drug discovery from natural products (medicinal plants and microbial species). IIIM is a multi-disciplinary organization encompassing the natural products chemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, microbiology, biotechnology and botanical sciences.

CSIR-INDIAN INSTITUTE OF INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE, JAMMU, a constituent establishment of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, intends to engage PROJECT FELLOWS, SENIOR PROJECT FELLOWS, JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW AND RESEARCH ASSOCIATE on purely temporary basis to work in CSIR under the various ongoing funded and time targeted sponsored projects at CSIR-IIIM. However the number of positions may vary and occur depending upon the requirement of the institute. A general panel will be operated for a maximum period of one year from the date of interview.

01. Post: Project Fellow
Age: 28 years
Qualification:
M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech or equivalent degree in Chemical Sciences–Organic/ Medicinal / Bio-organic / Analytical / Natural Products / Pharmaceutical / Chemical Engineering with at least 55% marks.
OR
B Pharma or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks and one year research experience.
OR
M.Pharma/M.S. Pharma or equivalent degree in Chemical Sciences - Medicinal / Analytical/ Natural Products / Pharmaceutical.
Stipend: Rs.16,000/- P.M.

02. Post: Project Fellow
Age: 28 years
Qualification:
M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech or equivalent degree in Life Science/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Botany / Plant Systematic / Biochemical Engineering / Industrial Biotechnology with at least 55% marks.
OR
M.Pharma/M.S. Pharma/M.Tech or equivalent degree in Life Science / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology/ Biochemical Engineering.
Stipend: Rs.16,000/- P.M.

03. Post: Project Fellow for cGMP plant
Age: 28 years
Qualification:
ITI/2 yrs. Diploma in Mechanical or 10+2 with 3 yrs. exp. in the operation of Auto Coater Machine.
OR
ITI/2 yrs. Diploma in Mechanical or 10+2 with 3 years experience in the operation of Strip & Blister Packing Machine.
OR
ITI/2 yrs. Diploma in Mechanical or 10+2 with 3 years experience in the operation Boiler with certificate of Boiler Operator (IBR/Non-IBR)
OR
ITI/2 years Diploma in Electrical or 10+2 with 2 years experience in the running of PLCs, LT panels, LT cables, and maintenance of power points and fittings of cGMP unit.
Stipend: Rs.16,000/- P.M.

04. Post: Senior Project Fellow
Age: 32 years
Qualification:
M.Sc/ BE/ B.Tech or equivalent degree in Chemical Sciences–Organic/ Medicinal / Bio-organic / Analytical / Natural Products / Pharmaceutical; Chemical Engineering with at least 55% marks and one publication in SCI Journal and should have completed at least two years of post M.Sc/BE/B.Tech research experience;
OR
M. Tech/ME or equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering with at least 60% marks;
OR
B Pharma or equivalent degree with at least 55% marks and one publication in SCI Journal and should have completed at least three years research experience;
OR
M.Pharma/M.S. Pharma or equivalent degree in Chemical Sciences –Medicinal/ Analytical/Natural Products/Pharmaceutical; with at least 55% marks and one publication in SCI Journal and should have at least one year research experience.
Stipend: Rs.18,000/- P.M.

05. Post: Senior Project Fellow
Age: 32 years
Qualification:
M.Sc./BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Life Science / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Botany plant systematic / Biochemical Engineering / Industrial Biotechnology with at least 55% marks and one publication in SCI Journal and should have completed at least two years of post M.Sc/BE/B.Tech research experience;
OR
M.Tech/ME or equivalent degree in Engineering/Technology (Biotechnology) with at least 60% marks;
OR
M.Pharma/M.S. Pharma/M.V.Sc. or equivalent degree in Life Science/ Microbiology/Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Botany with at least 55% marks and one publication in SCI Journal and should have at least one year research experience.
Stipend: Rs.18,000/- P.M.

06. Post: Research Associate
Age: 35 years
Qualification:
PhD in Chemical Sciences–Organic/ Medicinal/ Bio-organic/ Analytical/ Natural Products/ Pharmaceutical or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after M.Pharma/ MS Pharma/M.Tech./ME - Organic/ Medicinal/ Bio-organic/ Analytical/ Natural Products/ Pharmaceutical with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.
Stipend: Rs.23,000/- P.M.

07. Post: Project Fellow
Age: 28 years
Qualification:
M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech or equivalent degree in Bioinformatics/ Chemo informatics/Pharmaco-informatics with at least 55% marks.
Stipend: Rs.16,000/- P.M.

08. Post: Senior Project Fellow
Age: 32 years
Qualification:
M.Sc./BE/B.Tech. or equivalent degree in Bioinformatics/Chemo informatics /Pharmaco-informatics with at least 55% marks and one publication in SCI Journal and should have completed at least two years of post M.Sc/BE/B.Tech. research experience;

09. Post: Research Associate
Age: 35 years
Qualification:
PhD Bioinformatics/Chemo informatics / Pharmaco-informatics or equivalent degree or having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development experience after M.Sc./BE/B.Tech. in Bioinformatics / Chemo informatics / Pharmaco-informatics with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.

Age relaxation in the upper age limit of 5 years is also applicable for persons who had ordinarily been domiciled in the state of J&K during the period of 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 subject to production of domicile certificate from the concerned District Magistrate in the J&K within whose jurisdiction he/she had ordinarily been resided or from any other authority designated in this behalf by the Govt. of J&K to the effect that he/she had ordinarily been domiciled in the J&K during the period of 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989.

DATE, TIME & VENUE OF INTERVIEW: 12.01.2016 to 14.01.2016; 10.00 A.M. SHARP; CONFERENCE HALL, CSIR-IIIM, JAMMU.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
a) HRA will be admissible as per sanction of the projects.

b) Eligible candidates can attend the Walk-in-Interview alongwith complete biodata in the prescribed format (to be downloaded from the IIIM Website attached with the advertisement) duly filled and signed and enclosing self attested photocopies of certificates/testimonials in support of Date of birth, Qualifications/Experience, Caste, Domicile Certificate etc. and one recent passport size photograph. Original certificates are also required to be produced for verification at the time of interview. Those candidate(s) intend to appear for more than one post code, will have to submit separate application on prescribed proforma against each post code along with self attested copies of certificates/testimonials, photographs etc. separately. Tentative Mark sheets/Certificates and ‘Result Awaited’ will not be considered. All eligible candidates are requested to be present at the venue on the said date one hour before the time of interview

c) Mode of Selection: Through Interview. However, if large number of candidates turn up, a Screening test comprising of multiple choice objective questions will be held for short listing the candidates for interview. The short listed candidates will be interviewed by the Selection Committee and, based on the performance in the interview; a panel of recommended candidates will be formed. The panel shall be utilized as and when the requirement arises in the projects in the relevant field/area. Candidates have the option to interact in Hindi/English before the committee. In case turning up of large number of candidates, interview may continue for next day.

d) The positions are purely temporary on contract basis and co-terminus with the sponsored projects. Further the above stipend (s) is tentative and the same will be finally decided based on the availability of funds in the relevant sponsored projects.

e) In case of Universities/Institutes awarding CGPA/SGPA/OGPA Grades etc., candidates are requested to convert the same into percentage based on the formula as per their University/Institute.

f) To avoid any inconvenience, only those candidates who strictly fulfill the eligibility criteria and possess the degree/mark sheet in the aforesaid subjects should turn up for walk in interview.
