Post : Senior Research Scientist - Bioinformatics
Role
• Lead and execute mufcidisciplinary computational projects in drug discovery in collaboration with Domain and AI/ML teams.
• Apply advanced molecular modelling and computational techniques to discover drug molecules, drug intermediates and specialty chemicals.
• Develop innovative computational workflows to accelerate discovery and improve efficiency.
• Analyse scientific data and compile key findings into technical reports and business presentations.
Qualification and Experience :
• PhD in Bioinformatics / Computational Biology / Pharmaceutical Sciences or related areas from reputed institutes.
• 2-5 years of industrial R&D experience in in-silico drug discovery.
• Expertise in usage of relevant molecular modelling software packages and databases.
• Experience in Python programming and Data Analytics skills are preferred.
Key Knowledge
• Strong scientific track-record in discovering drug molecules and drug intermediates.
• Awareness of current trends and recent developments in drug discovery.
• Expertise in advanced computational techniques such as Molecular Docking, Molecular Dynamics (including Umbrella Sampling and Free Energy Perturbation approaches). Quantum mechanics (including DFT), QSAR and Data Analytical techniques, and Designing new molecules.
• Knowledge on a broad range of bio-domain disciplines (pharmacology, biophysics, enzymology, cell biology, and molecular biology) and their applications to drug discovery.
• Strong background in mathematics, physics and chemistry.
