Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP), is a Dept. of Biotechnology (Govt. of India) initiative and a not-for-profit organisation based in Bangalore. We act as an enabler of Bioscience Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship by providing Research, Development, Training and Services in State Of The Art Technology Platforms. As a part C-CAMP's mandate of promoting entrepreneurship and innovation, C-CAMP has created and fostered an entrepreneur-friendly culture in and around academic/research environment through its involvement in seed funding schemes for Startups, Entrepreneur Mentorship program and Bio-incubation facility.
Post : Communications Project Manager
The Communications programme at C-CAMP is looking for a dynamic, self-driven and proactive individual with a keen eye and interest for outreach, public engagement and community building at the intersection of research and innovation with communications. They must be able to work both on independent and collaborative ideas, have good interpersonal skills and an ability to multi-task.
Responsibilities :
• The joinee shall be responsible for supporting the team in researching, creating, curating and managing content for all C-CAMP outreach efforts including social media, newsletters, digital campaigns etc.
• They will also be responsible in supporting the team’s community building efforts through events, workshops, conferences etc.
• They will contribute to Comms deliverables for showcasing C-CAMP’s work online and offline and creative ideas for meaningful engagement through collaterals like reports, C-CAMP’s physical space etc.
Subject Matter and reporting structure :
They will work closely with the team in order to capture and present important updates, data, impact of all C-CAMP’s programmes in Technology Platforms, Innovation & Entrepreneurship and Translation and C-CAMP portfolio startups. In this position, they will report directly to the C-CAMP Comms Lead.
Eligibility qualifications : MSc in life sciences or related subject, with demonstrable experience in science writing, outreach and communications through published/referenced work. PhD is not compulsory.
Desired Experience :
• Scientific writing and editing
• Social media management
• Adobe Creator Suite or similar creative tools
• Active interest in video making, scripting, editing, basic photography etc.
• Fluency with emerging social media tools and AI tools
• Management of third party communication
Salary : Shall be commensurate with qualification and experience.
Designation : May be upgraded to Programme Manager based on qualification and experience.
