Biotechnology Fellowships sponsored by GSBTM at Gujarat Biotechnology University

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work under the research project entitled “Stereochemically Engineered Peptide Vectors for Targeted Delivery of Cytoskeleton Modulating Drugs in Ovarian Cancer” funded by Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, Govt. of Gujarat at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU). The post is purely temporary and co-terminates with the project.

Post : Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Minimum Qualifications : M.Tech./M.Sc./ B.Tech. or equivalent in Biotechnology and allied areas with a minimum of 55% marks in the preceding qualification.

Desirable Qualifications :
• Candidates who have qualified the CSIR-UGC-NET/DBT- JRF/ICMR-JRF/GATE/National-level exams will be preferred.
• Experience in Peptide/Organic Synthesis and Biophysical Characterization of Peptides.
• Hands-on Experience in Mammalian Cell Culture.
• Experience in Structural Bioinformatics/Computational Biology.
• Candidates with good communication skills.

Age Limit : Up to 30 years on the closing date of the advertisement

Fellowship Duration : Initially for 1 year, extendable on an annual basis for subsequent years (till project completion), subject to satisfactory progress and financial provisions.

Fellowship : Rs. 36,000/- per month, including HRA (CSIR-UGC-NET/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/GATE, etc., or national-level exam qualified candidates) as per GSBTM, DST, GoG guidelines. OR Rs. 23,213/- fixed per month ( For candidates who have not qualified for the national- level examinations, such as CSIR-UGC-NET/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/GATE, etc.) as per GSBTM, DST, GoG guidelines.
