West Bengal State Health & Family Welfare Samiti will engage personnel on contract basis for different positions, as mentioned below, for WB Strengthening of State Drug Regulatory Mechanism (up gradation of Drugs Testing Laboratory), Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal and will be posted at State Drug Control & Research Laboratory.

Drug Analyst (Junior Scientific Assistant)

Essential Qualification : 1) B.Sc (Hons.) degree in Chemistry or B.Pharma from any recognised University or B.Tech (Pharmacy / Pharmaceutical Technology)
Essential Experience : Completed minimum 2 years experience in registered institution in the manufacturing or testing of Drugs or enforcement of provision of the Drugs and Cosmetics Acts, 1940 preferably from a Government Organization under Govt. Analyst or Chemical Examiner
Desirable Qualification : Master degree in Science (Chemistry) or M.Pharma or M.Tech ((Pharmacy / Pharmaceutical Technology)

Essential Qualification : B.Sc degree with Chemistry/Botany/Zoology as one of the subjects OR B.Pharm degree from any recognised University
Essential Experience : Completed 1 Year experience in registered institution/research laboratory as testing or Lab Assistant in the testing of samples under Drugs and Cosmetics and enforcement of provision of the Drugs and Cosmetics Acts 1940.

MODE OF SELECTION : Total 100 Marks
1. B.Sc degree with Chemistry/Botany/Zoology as one of the subjects /B.Pharm
Max. Marks & Details : 75 ; Proportionate Marking: (% of Marks obtained in the exam)*75/100
2. Completed 1 Year experience in registered institution/research laboratory as testing or Lab Assistant in the testing of samples under Drugs and Cosmetics and enforcement of provision of the Drugs and Cosmetics Acts 1940

4. Interview : Max. Marks 15

Age relaxation will be given for the reserved candidates as per govt, norms. Selection will be done on the basis of marks obtained in academic qualification, experience, and interview.
Note : The engagement for above mentioned positions is purely on contractual basis and initially for six months/one year which may be renewed/ extended for further one year or till the terminations of the projects which one is earlier, subject to satisfactory performance.

7. In case of EWS candidates, EWS certificate must be issued on or before the last date of online application, by the competent authorities as notified by the Govt.

Without registration form, candidates will not be entertained for original testimonials verification by the authority. No need to send Hard copy/print copy of the online registration form by post.

11. Marking after rounding off upto 2 decimal points will be considered.
