Online applications are invited from Indian Citizen for recruitment to the Post of Pharmacist Grade- III under Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal. A candidate should verify from the notified eligibility criteria to ascertain whether he/ she is eligible for submission of application. The conditions prescribed cannot be relaxed. The recruitment will be made by selection DIRECT RECRUITMENT following method prescribed below.
Post : Pharmacist Grade-III
No of posts : 360 (UR-146, SC-73, ST-21, OBC Category A - 35, Category A - B, UR(PWD)-11, SC(PWD)-4, EWS-35)
Scale of Pay : Basic Pay Rs.28,900/- at Entry point at Level 9 as Per WBS (ROPA) Rules, 2019.
Method of Recruitment: - By selection (direct recruitment) through the West Bengal Health Recruitment Board.
Qualification:- (i) Must have Passed Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) from West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology; and
(ii) Two years’ Diploma course in Pharmacy recognized by the Government of West Bengal or Bachelor degree in Pharmacy recognized by the Government of West Bengal; and
(iii) Registered as “A” category Pharmacist under West Bengal Pharmacy Council.
Age : Not less than 18 years and more than 39 years on the date of issue of advertisement for recruitment : Provided that the provisions of the West Bengal Services (Raising of Age limit) Rules, 1981 shall apply as long as the same remain in force. Provided further that upper age may be relaxed for the candidates belonging to Scheduled castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward classes as per Government rules or orders issued from time to time.
It is hereby notified that for recruitment to the post of Pharmacist Grade III, vide Advertisement Numbers mentioned in the reference above: Under “Requisites for Qualification”-
2. Bachelor degree in Pharmacy recognized by the Government of West Bengal: the following Point D, will be inserted.
D. I. Bachelor degree in Pharmacy recognized by the Government of West Bengal (Direct entry):
Candidates are requested to upload all years' Mark Sheets of Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy, recognized by Government of West Bengal (Direct entry) including supplementary marksheets altogether in the space provided for the same. Marks obtained in Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy (Direct entry)Z, should be filled in the space for "Marks Obtained"(all years) and grand total of full marks in respect of all total corresponding subjects/papers should be filled in the space for "Full Marks"(all years).
D. II. Candidates possessing Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy recognized by Government of West Bengal (Lateral entry) after completion of Two years’ Diploma course in Pharmacy recognized by the Government of West Bengal:
Candidates are requested to upload all years' Mark Sheets including supplementary marksheets of Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy (Lateral entry) as well as all years' Mark Sheets including supplementary marksheets of Two years’ Diploma course in Pharmacy recognized by the Government of West Bengal. Marks obtained in the Two years Diploma in Pharmacy as well as Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy (Lateral entry), should be filled in the space for "Marks Obtained"(all years) and grand total of full marks in respect of all total corresponding subjects/ papers, of both Diploma and Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy via Lateral entry, should be filled in the space for "Full Marks” (all years).
Only online registration & submission of Application will be allowed on the website (hrb.wb.gov.in) between 13.08.2025 (From 10:00 AM) to 03.09.2025 (Till 02:00 PM).
