Advertisement for Doctoral Degree in Pharma at NIAB - Salary 53,340 per month

NIAB is an autonomous and premier institute of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. The Institute aims to develop and harness novel and emerging biotechnological tools and applications, and take up research in cutting-edge areas for improving animal health and productivity as well as contribute to human health and welfare.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling the following positions at the National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad, against the DBT-BBSRC funded Indo-UK project entitled “The contribution of cross-species innate immune responses to the host control of Q- fever” PI - Dr. Syed M. Faisal.

Senior Project Associate- 1 position
Essential Qualification : Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / MVSc or bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent; and Four years experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services OR Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering / Technology / Pharma /MD /MS from a recognized University or equivalent. (Eligibility criteria as per DST OM No.SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated 10th July, 2020).

Fellowship amount : Rs.42000 + 27% HRA (If applicable)
Experience : A candidate with Experience in cell culture, immunological techniques, Adjuvant chemistry, preparing adjuvant formulations and animal handling is desirable. Candidates having prior experience in working on vaccine adjuvants or their mechanism of action will be preferred. NET/GATE qualified candidate will be preferred.
Age : 40 years (Relaxation is admissible in the case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions)
Tenure : One year, likely to extended based on performance and co-terminus with the duration of the project (July, 2028)

Technical Assistant- 1 position
Essential Qualification : Bachelor/Master of Science in Biology/Biotechnology or relevant discipline.

Fellowship amount : Rs.20000 +27% HRA (If applicable)
Experience : A candidate with experience in cell culture, immunological techniques, Adjuvant chemistry, preparing adjuvant formulations and animal handling is desirable. Candidates having experience in animal handling (mice or goats ) and blood collection will be preferred. NET/GATE not required.
Age : 50 years (Relaxation is admissible in the case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions)
Tenure : One year, likely to extended based on performance and co-terminus with the duration of the project (July, 2028)
