The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage.
Applications are invited for the following temporary post in a DHR funded project entitled, Prevention of beta cell damage in type-1 diabetes by immune check-point ligands expressed in exosomes derived from prcproinsulin-spccific regulatory T cells' under Dr. Naresh Sachdeva, Professor, Department of Endocrinology, PGIMER, Chandigarh.
Post : Junior Research Fellow (One Position)
Essential Qualification : Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Immunology, Cell Biology with at least 55% marks. Preference would be given to candidates who have qualified National Research Fellowship examinations (CSIR-UGC NET/ICMR-JRF/DBT/DST-INSPIRE/GATE etc).
Desirable : Experience in Immunology, Molecular Biology or Cell Biology, Publications in indexed journals.
Emoluments per month : Rs 31,000/- + HRA (@16%) Upper
Age limit : 28 years (relaxable for 5 years in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH/women candidates as per GOI rules) on the date of interview.
