The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963.

Post : Research Assistant (One Post)

Applications are invited for one post of Research Assistant for a Wellcome Trust/ DBT India Alliance Improving treatment outcomes in severe scrub typhus : a multicentre randomized controlled trial with pharmacokinetic / pharmacodynamic assessment and molecular characterization of Orientiatsutsugamushi. (Intravenous Treatment for Scrub Typhus (INTREST) Trial). This post is purely on contract basis initially upto one year, or until completion of project, and those selected will have no claim for regular appointment under Wellcome Trust or any other project.

Eligibility : GNM, BSc Nursing, B.Pharmacy

Desirable : Previous experience of handling and coordinating clinical trials is desirable

Age limit : Below 30 years

Emoluments : Rs. 10,000 per month fixed

This bio-data must provide clear and complete information on the candidate's eligibility and relevant experience for post applied for, and include his/her e-mail address and mobile number. After scrutiny of all application, only the shortlisted applicants will be personally interviewed.

Interview will be held at 02:30 PM on 1st September 2020 in Room No. 16, Level 4, F-Block Nehru Hospital, PGIMER, Chandigarh. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview. In case the number of shortlisted applicants is large, a screening examination shall be conducted prior to this interview. The exact time/venue will be notified by phone/e-mail one day before. Applicants reporting late will not be assessed further.
