The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963. The Institute was originally under the Government of undivided Punjab.

Post : Junior Research Fellow

Applications are invited for the posts of JRF in DST-SERB project entitled “Study of the association of clinical frailty, melphalan pharmacokinetics, pharmacogenomics polymorphisms affecting melphalan metabolism and toxicity, with transplant outcomes in myeloma patients undergoing autologous hematopoietic cell transplantation”

The post is purely on contract basis and will be continue until the project remains active.

Essential Qualification : First Class Masters Degree in Life Sciences / pharmacy / pharmacology, from a recognized university

Desirable : Preference will be given to NET (not lectureship) / GATE qualified candidates, relevant experience in the field candidate

Age limit : As per GOI rules

Remuneration : As per GOI rules

1. All candidates appearing for the interview should come along with original documents and one attested photocopy of all the documents viz. Class X certificate, Class XII certificate, Proof of qualifications etc.
2. Those who fail to present the originals and one attested copy of all certificates at the time of interview will not be considered.
3. No TA/DA will be paid.
