Title of the Project: Development of an efficient penicillin production process using metabolic engineering and synthetic biology for manufacture of active pharmaceutical intermediate, 6-aminopenicillanic acid and semisynthetic antibiotics.
Minimum prescribed educational Qualifications : M.Sc. with Microbiology/Biotechnology with minimum 55% marks and GATE or NET or equivalent passed
Desirable experience, if any : Research experience of 1-2 years in area of Biotechnology and knowledge of various techniques involved in cloning
Age limit : 30 years
Job requirement : Carry out microbial, fungal fermentation and analysis of fermentation products, purification of recombinant protein.
Consolidated emoluments per month : Rs. 25000/- consolidated + HRA as per rules.
*Age limit as shown above is relaxable by 5 years for Statutory Groups and women candidates.
The engagement will be initially for a period of six months which may be extended or curtailed depending on the duration of the tenure of sponsored project/ satisfactory performance or conduct of the appointee, as the case may be. The engagement will be purely on temporary basis and shall not be CSIR/NCL appointment, temporary or otherwise and shall not entitle the appointee to any right/claim whatsoever, implicit or explicit, for his/her consideration against any CSIR/NCL post/fellowship.
