The Institute received the prestigious Accreditation Status twice, first in the year 2004 and then in the year 2007 from National Board of Accreditation, a unit of All India Council for Technical Education. In recognition of its excellence LIMAT was conferred Deemed to be University status, titled ―Lingaya`s University‖ with the approval of MHRD, Govt of India, under section 3 of UGC Act 1956.
