Job Description
• Understand Baxter technology landscape and look for external opportunities to build new innovation technology and platform
• Drive innovation culture and establish multi-lateral collaboration mechanism for local R&D team
• Understand business and market needs, develop exploratory pipeline or new product initiatives for business growth
• Scout and recommend technology strategy including potential acquisition, partnership, university projects and exploratory projects through development of technology roadmaps.
• Perform technology assessment and technical due diligence for potential acquisitions and partnership targets of medical products, especially, in India.
• Execute idea management and exploratory process guidelines.
• Well aligned to the Global Technology Innovation Organization to ensure the realization of the Innovation-objectives.
• Assess internally or externally developed new technologies and leverages experts to develop new product ideas and to improve existing products and processes.
• Develop reverse-innovation opportunities from local initiatives to global market
• May lead a small team of engineers and consultants.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in pharmaceutical and medical device development and product launch. Solid understanding of relevant technology and product portfolio and their applications, familiar with products’ applications at hospitals, by HCP or patients
- Experience of collecting VOC, and working with internal and external partners to address customer needs with solutions, and successful track record to turn VOC concepts into product launch.
- Global mindset and strategic thinking, and understanding of global market and product applications to facilitate reverse-innovation.
- Strong influencing and communication skills, and learning capability, be a change-agent to cultivate innovation and new ways of thinking
- Experience working with multi-national cross-functional team. Project management skills, including ability to organize and present technical and project management overviews independently.
- High level of technical and business acumen. Successful track record of managing wide-ranging activities within the business unit. Demonstrates leadership skills.
- Results oriented, be able to deal with ambiguity, encourage and motivate team as a role model..
