Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995.
At present the Institute has eleven departments and three inter-disciplinary academic centres covering all the major engineering, science and humanities disciplines, offering BTech, BDes, MA, MDes, MTech, MSc and PhD programmes. Within a short period of time, IIT Guwahati has been able to build up world class infrastructure for carrying out advanced research and has been equipped with state-of-the-art scientific and engineering instruments.
Post: Research Associate
Applications are invited for a walk in interview to be held in the Conference Room of the Department of BSBE on 9th September 2016 at 3:00 pm onwards for one temporary position of Research Associate (Post Doc) in a DBT, Govt. of India funded project entitled “North East Silk Biomaterial Based Injectable Hydrogels for Drug Delivery and Tissue Engineering”.
Scale of pay: Rs. 36,000 + HRA
Qualification:
Candidates with Ph.D degree in Biotechnology / Life Science / Pharmaceutical Science / Chemistry / Biochemistry / Materials Science or related subjects. Candidates who have submitted thesis and awaiting degree may also apply. Candidates with experience in animal cell culture / tissue engineering / biomaterials / drug delivery / nanotechnology / stem cells with peer review impact publications will be preferred.

Candidates will not be sent any interview call letter separately. All candidates must report by 2:30 pm on the date of interview.
