The mission of the Centre is to create opportunities for multi-disciplinary education, training and research in biotechnology. The vision is to produce human resource tailored to drive innovation in biotechnology, particularly in areas of new opportunities and also to fill talent gap in deficient areas. The Centre has been recognized as an Institution of National Importance through an act of Indian Parliament, for biotechnology education, training and research. The Centre is also regarded as a Category II Centre in terms of "the principles and guidelines for the establishment and functioning of UNESCO Institutes and Centres.
Post : Project Research Scientist-I
Title of Project : Sialidase-Based Detection of Vaginal Dysbiosis and Monitoring of Vaginal Health: Development of an indigenous Rapid Diagnostic Kit.
Duration : Initially for a period of up to one (01) year, may be extended on evaluation.
Essential Qualifications : M.Sc. or any other equivalent course in Biotechnology with at least 60% marks.
Desirable : Experience in handling fungal culture is highly desirable. Skills in microbiology, molecular biology tools and protein expression are also requisite. Candidate should be hardworking and team player with interpersonal skills.
