Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is an Institution of National Importance established through an Act of Indian Parliament by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India under the auspices of UNESCO. The primary focus of RCB is to provide world class education, training and conduct innovative research at the interface of multiple disciplines to create high quality human resource in disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas of biotechnology.

Title of Project : Targeting riboswitches with synthetic small molecules for the development of ntimycobacterial agents.
Principal Investigator : Dr. Ambadas B. Rode, Associate Professor
Duration : Initially, for one year, and performance basis, till the duration of the project
Essential Qualifications : Applicants must hold an M.Sc. in Organic, Pharmaceutical, or Medicinal Chemistry and possess a valid National Level qualification (NET/GATE/GPAT). A minimum of one years' post M.Sc. research experience in organic synthesis, purification, and characterization within academia or industry is mandatory.
Desirable : Strong practical and theoretical knowledge in organic synthesis, separation/purification techniques such as distillation, crystallization, extraction, chromatography, etc., experience in the operation of equipment to aid in chemical synthesis, purification, and interpretation of spectral data obtained for techniques like NMR, MS, IR, and HPLC etc., knowledge to follow safe lab practices and SOPs. Candidate should hardworking and a team player with interpersonal skills.
Age : Below 35 years

Fellowship : Rs. 37,000/- 24% HRA per month
