Panchayat Service Selection Board announces Pharmacists Openings

The Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board is established under section 235 of the Gujarat Panchayat Act, 1993. The Board consists of five members including the Chairman.  The duty of the Board is to select candidates for recruitment to Class III posts in the Panchayat Service and to advise the Panchayats in such matters as prescribed by the rules.

Salary Scale :- 
1. Since the selected candidate is appointed on contract basis on this post, the Finance Department's Resolution No.:- Expenditure-2002-57-Zh.1 dated 16-02-2006, Resolution No.:- Expenditure-2002-57-Zh-1 dated 29-4-2010 and Resolution No.:- Expenditure/2002/57/Part-2/Zh-1 dated 6-10-2011 and Resolution No.:- Expenditure/2002/57/Part-2/Zh-1, dated 20-10-2014 and Resolution No.:- Expenditure/2002/57 (Part-2)/Zh-1, dated 20-10-2015 and Resolution No.:-  As per the provisions of Expenditure/2002/57/Part-2/Z-1, dated 18-1-2017 and Resolution No.:- Expenditure/2002/57/Part-4/Z-1, dated 18-10-2023, the appointment will be made with a fixed salary of Rs. 40,800/- per month for the first five years and other benefits as prescribed by this resolution will be available. 
2. The selected candidate will be appointed by the Appointing Authority subject to the terms and conditions mentioned in the Finance Department's resolution No.: Expenditure/2002/57/(Part-3)/Z-1 dated 28-3-2016 and the name.   Page 16 of 26  Subject to the final judgment of SLP No. 14124/2012 and 14125/2012 filed in the Supreme Court, the post will be given on fixed salary basis and at the end of five years, if their services are found satisfactory by the appointing authority, they will be eligible for regular appointment in the concerned office in the prescribed pay scale as per the rules as per the norms of the then Government.

Educational Qualification
Rule-3 (b) A candidate shall - possess a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or degree of Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD.) or Diploma in Pharmacy obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognised as such or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; 
Rule - 3 (c) A candidate shall possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules 1967; 
Rule - 3(d) A candidate shall possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both. Rule-9. A candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to get himself registered with the Gujarat Pharmacy Council in accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Act 1948 at the time of his application for direct selection, if he is not so registered.

Nationality
The candidate should be a citizen of India or should have the nationality as per the provisions of Rule-7 of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.

Age Limit
A candidate shall not be more than 35 years of age
The upper age limit may be relaxed in favour of the candidate who is already in the service of the Government of Gujarat as per the provisions of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.

Computer Knowledge:-
Candidates should have a certificate/mark sheet from any training institute stating that they have basic knowledge of computers as per the syllabus prescribed by the State Government's General Administration Department, Resolution No.: CRR/102007/120320/G.5 dated 13/08/2008. Or certificates of having completed any diploma/degree or certificate course in computer knowledge from a government recognized university or institution or certificates of having computer as a subject in the degree or diploma course or certificates of having passed the standard 10th or standard 12th examination with computer as a subject. Also, candidates who do not have such a certificate at this stage can also apply. But such candidates will have to submit such a certificate of having passed the basic knowledge of computers examination to the appointing authority before getting the appointment. Otherwise, the candidate will not be eligible for appointment. Also, the appointing authority will "cancel" the selection of the candidates in such cases.


Examination Fee :-
1. All the candidates who have selected (shown) “General” category while filling the form will have to pay the application fee.  Candidates belonging to the following categories will not have to pay any application fee. 
2.  (1) Scheduled Caste (SC)
(2)  Scheduled Tribe (ST)
(3) Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC)
(4) Economically Weaker Section Candidates (EWS)
(5) Ex-Serviceman (All Categories)
(6) Physically Disabled (Divyangangta) Candidates (PWD) All Categories

3. General category candidates have to pay the application fee. For this, the candidate can pay the application fee online through SBI e-pay.
4. Method of paying the fee online through SBI e-pay:- To pay the online fee, the candidate should go to the website https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in and click on “Online Payment of Fees”. After that, the online fee should be paid through any one of the given options like Debit Card, UPI, Internet Banking, NEFT and Credit Card. After depositing the fee, it will be written on the screen that the fee has been deposited and an E-Receipt will be available, which should be printed. If there is any error in the process, it will be seen on the screen that the fee has not been paid.
5. The last date for payment of the application fee will be as mentioned in para-1 of this advertisement.
6. After payment of the application fee, no refund will be available under any circumstances and the application of the candidates who are eligible to pay the fee without paying the fee will not be accepted.
7. General category candidates will have paid the application fee within the stipulated time limit, only then will the online call letter (Hall Ticket) / Exam Admit Card be issued at that time, which should be taken into special note.
8. If any candidate from the general category cannot deposit the application fee online within the stipulated time limit for any reason, such candidates should deposit the PROCESS FEE ₹500/- (Rupees Five Hundred in Numbers) in cash in person at the office of Gujarat Panchayat Seva Sevshith Mandal from 21-05-2026 to 25-05-2026 (during working days and office hours), then their application will be considered as application fee and their application will be accepted and such candidates will be able to download the call letter (Admit Card) within the stipulated time limit. Take note of this.  It is clarified here that only those candidates whose online application is confirmed but are not able to pay the application fee will be allowed to download the call letter (admit card) by paying PROCESS FEE * 500/-(Five hundred rupees in figures). Candidates who have not applied / are not confirmed will not be able to avail this option. Also, the application fee of any candidate will not be accepted after the process fee acceptance period is over.

General Instructions
1. Detailed instructions for applying are given in the following paragraphs of this advertisement. Before applying online including those instructions, the candidate must read this entire advertisement carefully.
2. The competitive examination method will be COMPUTER BASED RECRUITMENT TEST (CBRT) or OPTICAL MARK RECOGNITION (OMR) method with objective MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) type questions. The examination program and examination method will be announced separately by the board. For this, candidates are advised to keep checking the website of Gujarat Panchayat Seva Seva Mandal.  
3. While applying online, the candidate does not have to attach (upload) any certificates. But while applying online, the applicant has to fill the entire details in the online application as per the details in the certificates.  Therefore, all the details of all the certificates like educational qualification, age, school leaving certificate, caste, disability, ex-serviceman (if applicable), recognized sports (if applicable), widow (if any) and other qualifications have to be filled in the online application as per the original certificates otherwise at the time of verification of the certificates by the Board appointing authority, if the details in the application are found to be wrong or inconsistent, the application and candidature/selection/appointment of the candidate will be cancelled. Without any verification of the details filled online in the application form, the Board will allow the candidates to appear for the scheduled competitive examination for this post by making provisional admission (provisional admission) and allowing them to appear for the competitive examination, which will be subject to verification of the certificates of the candidates included in the provisional merit list after the declaration of the provisional result (mark sheet) after the examination.   
4. All the instructions regarding the competitive examination and thereafter will be given through SMS on the candidate's registered mobile number. Therefore, it is mandatory for the candidate to indicate the mobile number in the relevant column in the application form and to maintain the mobile number till the completion of the entire recruitment process. If the candidate does not receive the instructions through SMS due to change or closure of the mobile number or for any other reason, the responsibility will be on the candidate and in such a case, the candidate himself will be considered as not wanting to get the appointment.  
5. After the competitive examination, the Board will take action regarding the provisional result, according to which the candidates who will be included in the provisional merit list. They will be given instructions for verification of certificates and other instructions on their email. For this, the candidates are advised to maintain the email-ID mentioned in the application and keep checking it from time to time.
