Essential Qualification : Masters/Integrated Masters in Chemistry (preferably Inorganic/Organic Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical/Medicinal Chemistry/Materials/Polymer) OR Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent. And 2 years’ experience in Research & Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.
Desirable Qualification : Knowledge of IPR/ Patent Analytics / Patent Law/ Patent Information Search and Analysis.

Job Requirement :
• The role of a Project Associate (PAT-II) would be to search, analyze and summarize the content of the scientific documents and prepare technical reports accordingly. Additionally, candidate should be able to simultaneously manage more than one project. Preference will be given to candidates having knowledge of scientific and technical data analytics including patent analytics.
• The role of a Project Associate (PAT-I) would be to search, analyze and summarize the content of the scientific documents and prepare technical reports accordingly. Preference will be given to candidates having knowledge of scientific and technical data analytics including patent analytics.
• For Post code CM-01 : Ability to search and compile technical information such as Patent Information from online sources /patent databases. Candidates should have experience in content uploading, formatting and management of web portals or digital repositories. Proficiency in MS-Office tools, particularly MS-Word and MS-Excel, good written communication and documentation skills.
• The above-mentioned post codes require the following additional skills :
1. Excellent Oral and Written Communication in English language
2. Aptitude for research publications, data mining and analytical skills.
3. Proficiency in use of commonly used software for word processing, database searching, spreadsheets & presentations.

(a) 35000+HRA for those candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET incl. Lectureship/Assistant
Professorship or GATE or those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/Institutions.
(b) 28000+HRA for others who do not fall under (a) above.
Project Associate (PAT-I)
(a) 31000+HRA for those candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET incl. Lectureship/Assistant Professorship or GATE or those who have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent and/or their Agencies/Institutions.
(b) 25000+HRA for others who do not fall under (a) above. Only candidates who fulfil the criteria may appear for the interview.
Please note
1. Vacancies are tentative which may vary based on project requirements. The selected candidates will be intimated and appointed based on the approval of the project and receipt of budget from funding agencies.
2. Candidates who have completed their degree with requisite educational qualifications only need to apply.
3. The engagement will be made initially for a period of six months which may be extended or curtailed, depending on the satisfactory performance and conduct of the candidates and duration of the projects.
4. The relaxation in the age limit for the candidates belonging to the category of SC/ST/PwBD/Women and the category of OBC shall be 05 years and 03 years respectively or as per Government of India instructions issued in this regard from time to time.
5. In case a large number of candidates apply for a position, Selection Committee will have discretion to shortlist the candidates for interview based on written exam or percentage of marks or desirable qualification/experience or higher qualification or any other criteria as deemed fit.
6. The interviews will be conducted on-site only.
7. No separate interview call letters will be issued; The candidates are requested to visit the CSIR-URDIP website frequently to know the information and status regarding interview dates/interview schedule/amendments/results, etc.
8. Candidates would need to bring/submit original qualification and experience certificates along with one set of photocopies at CSIR URDIP, for verification at the time of interview. In the event of any information being found false/incorrect or being detected ineligible, at any stage of recruitment, the candidature is liable to be rejected without any notice.
9. The selected candidates are expected to join within fifteen days from the date of receiving offer of engagement completing all pre-appointment formalities including medical examination and character verification, etc.
10. List/Name(s) of selected candidate(s) will be displayed on website. In addition, a waiting panel will also be drawn for meeting future requirements and it will be valid for one year.
11. The Engagement shall be on behalf of the sponsoring agency and shall be on purely temporary basis and co-terminus with the tenure of the project or 06 years, whichever is earlier. Further, such engagement, directly or indirectly, shall not provide any right/claim for regularization for permanent post of CSIR.
12. CSIR-URDIP reserves the right to cancel or withdraw the award in case of any discrepancy found, in the candidature of any selected candidate at any stage.
13. CSIR-URDIP reserves the right not to fill up a particular position, if it so desires.
14. The decision of Head, CSIR-URDIP in respect of these matters shall be final and binding.
15. The candidates should make their own arrangements for attending the interviews. No TA-DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the interviews
