Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for engagement of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) in the research project funded by ‘ICMR, Government of India at Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.
Post : Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)
Title of the Research Project : “Rapid Development and Preclinical Evaluation of a Peptide- Infused 3D- Printed Bioadaptive Mouthpiece for Oral Mucositis in Cancer Patients Undergoing Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy: Accelerating Bench-to-Bedside Translation”
Principal Investigator : Dr. Jiban Jyoti Panda, Scientist E (Associate Professor)
Essential Qualification : Post graduate degree including the integrated PG degree in life Sciences / Biomedical Sciences/ Chemistry/ Physics/ Biomedical-engineering or a relevant field.
Desirable Experience : In-vitro and In-Vivo cell and animal studies; Drug Delivery, Basic molecular-biology techniques; Peptide synthesis; Bio-sensing, Biomaterials & 3D Printing Skills. PhD degree in the relevant disciplines.
Age limit : Must not be over 35 years as on 20/04/2026, which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per rules of Government of India.
Fellowship : Rs. 56,000/- p.m. + 20% HRA
Duration : Initially one year and may be extended based on performance of the candidate and availability of funds.
General Terms and Conditions :
• The position is purely temporary and on contractual basis and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance for a maximum of three years/till the completion of the project whichever is earlier.
• The position is co-terminus with the project.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
• Original documents of age proof/certificates/degrees/mark sheets and other testimonials must be presented along with the self-attested photocopies of these documents at the time of interview (when interview will take in person).
