Applications are invited for the posts of two Junior Research Fellows (JRFs) to work on research project entitled “Bioengineering of stress-enriched polyphosphate-accumulating bacterial community in domestic wastewater treatment for heavymetal removal: A step towards clean phosphorus security” funded by Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission, Govt. of Gujarat at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU) in Microbial Bioengineering and Biomaterials Laboratory (MBBL).
The post is purely temporary and co-terminates with the project. Principal Investigator : Dr. Jagat Rathod, GBU Details of qualifications, emolument and duration of the project :

Minimum Qualifications : M.Sc / M.Tech or equivalent degree (Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry or relevant/ allied life science disciplines) with minimum of 55% marks.
Desirable Qualification : Desired research experience on Phosphate/Polyphosphate Biology/ Biotechnology, Bacteriology, Biochemical engineering, Microbial eco- physiology, metabolism and Biochemistry etc. are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates who have qualified for the CSIR-UGC-NET/DBT-JRF/ICMR- JRF/GATE/ICAR-NET etc. national-level exams (preferred) and non- qualified students can also apply.
- Candidates will be required to travel for onsite sample collection & processing as well as other institutes for experimental work under the project.
- Team player and cordial to work in research group.
- Candidates must have deep thrust for Science & Technology, scientific aptitude, critical reasoning and independent research execution skills.
Age Limit : Up to 31 years from closing date of the advertisement
Fellowship Duration : Till the end of the project: 3 years (Subject to satisfactory annual performance)
Fellowship : Rs. Rs. 31,000/- + HRA (36,000 per month inclusive of HRA) for the NET/GATE or national-level exam qualified candidates & Rs. 23,213/- (Fixed) for Non-NET/GATE/ICAR-NET ect. as per the GSBTM, DST, GoG guidelines.
