CSMCRI invites applications from Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology candidates

Applications are invited for the post of Project Assistant-II (1 number) from interested and talented candidates for the industry sponsored project entitled “Feasibility study of tank-based cultivation of edible seaweed Ulva lactuca at semi-outdoor conditions” at CSIR-CSMCRI Marine Algal Research Station, Mandapam camp.

Nature of Work : Cultivation of edible seaweed Ulva, tank cultivation of Ulva
Essential Qualification : Bachelors in Marine Science / Marine Biology / Marine Biology and Oceanography / Marine Biotechnology / Oceanography / Oceanography and Coastal Area Studies / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Botany / Plant Biology / Plant Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Zoology / Fisheries Sciences / Aquaculture / Environmental Science from a recognized university.
Desirable Qualification : Experience on Ulva / edible seaweed / seaweed cultivation in tanks

Monthly emolument : Rs. 20000/- + HRA

Age limit : 35 years (Relaxation in age as per CSIR norms)

Job description : Field collection and cultivation, tank-based cultivation, report preparation

Age limit : As per the last date of the receipt of the application, maximum 35 years, age relaxation applicable CSIR/institute norms

These positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. It would, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming absorption in CSIR- CSMCRI. The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR - Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar or different Laboratories/Institutes of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 06 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.

For shortlisted candidates, interview will be conducted in-person at CSIR-CSMCRI-Marine Algal Research Station, Mandapam camp-623519, Tamil Nadu and no DA/TA will be provided for attending the interview.

Application received by email will be scrutinized and shortlisted based on certain criteria and only such shortlisted candidates, eligible as per criteria, will be asked to attend the interview. Incomplete application with no properly filled application form, and without attaching Marksheets and Degree certificate (or provisional) will be rejected. The details of the interview will be sent to such candidates by e-mail. Ineligible candidates and students appearing in the final year of essential qualifying degrees need not apply.
