Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary position of one Project Associate-I (PA-I) in the “Short-Term Research Fellowship” programme, under the supervision of Dr. Divya Mishra, Scientist, BRIC-NIPGR.
Post : Senior Project Associate (SPA) - (One post)
Emoluments : Rs. 42,000/- plus HRA
Upper age limit : 40 years
Eligibility : Candidate should possess a Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences, MVSc, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Technology, or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent, along with a minimum of four years of proven experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions, or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services. Or Doctoral Degree in Science/Engineering/Technology/Pharma/MD/MS from a recognized University or equivalent.
And fulfilling the norms/guidelines as prescribed in the DST Office Memorandum No. SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated July 10, 2020 are eligible to apply.
Applicant with proven research experience in tissue culture-mediated transformation of legume crops complemented by expertise in molecular biology techniques, will be given priority.
The Fellowship amount for the above positions is at par with the similar fellowships by DBT/DST. The position is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the scheme. The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the scheme whichever is earlier and the same can be curtailed/extended on the basis of assessment of the candidate's performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. BRIC-NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The position may be terminated any time by giving a month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of BRIC-NIPGR.
Eligible candidates are invited to attend a Walk-in-Interview at BRIC-National Institute of Plant Genome Research (BRIC-NIPGR), Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi – 110067 on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. onwards. Candidates must report for registration between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. along with ta duly filled in application form in the prescribed format. The application should be accompanied by self-attested copies of certificates relating to date of birth, educational qualifications, and work experience. Candidates reporting after 11:00 a.m. will not be considered for the interview.
Applicants are advised to carefully ensure that they meet the prescribed eligibility criteria before appearing for the interview, as ineligible candidates will not be entertained. All candidates must bring their completer bio-data (in the prescribed format), along with original certificates and transcripts for verification at the time of the interview. Canvassing in any form or bringing influence, political or otherwise, will lead to the disqualification of the candidate(s).
Note : Incomplete application or those not submitted in the prescribed format will be rejected. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in-interview.
