NIPER, is an autonomous body which has been established under the aegis of the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, in the Government of India, to provide leadership in Pharmaceutical Sciences and other related areas.
Following research position is available in Department of Biotechnology, NIPER, S.A.S. Nagar:
Post : SRF
Project (PI) : Dr C.Iyengar GP-419 (DBT)
Salary : Rs. 28000/ p.m. for SRF + HRA as per rules
Essential Qualification : 1) Masters Degree in Life Science/Biotechnology OR 2) Graduate degree in professional course OR Postgraduate degree in professional course. Candidate must have minimum 60% marks in qualifying examination AND NET /GATE or equivalent qualification, with 2 years of research experience in addition to basic qualification.
Desirable: Experience in handling Mycobacterial strains, microscopy, Molecular biology/rDNA, protein purification, biochemistry techniques. Publication in peer reviewed journal(s).
Age Limit: 28 years (may be relaxed depending upon the suitability of qualification & experience & Relaxation for SC/ST/PH/OBC as per GOI rules).
The post is contractual in nature & does not hold the right to permanency. The position is purely temporary initially for one year, and may be extendable for a further 2 years, based on the satisfaction of the PI (GP-419). If institute is unable to provide accommodation, HRA will be provided as per DBT rules. Walk in Interview will be held on 12th April, 2017 from 3:00 pm- 4:00 pm in the Research Block, Department of Biotechnology.
Candidates should report by 2:30 pm and bring three copies of the application giving details of educational qualification, experience with name of the Institute, post held, scale of pay and past salary alongwith original certificates. Application should be accompanied by demand draft for Rs. 50/- (Rs. 25/- for SC/ST/PH) in favour of "Director NIPER", drawn on any scheduled bank payable at Mohali/ Chandigarh. Reservation of SC/ST and PH is as per GOI rules. No TA/ DA will be paid for attending the Walk-in-Interview.
