RK University, formerly the RK Group of Colleges, is a leading University offering variety of courses ranging from Diploma studies to Doctorate research.
Since its inception in the year of 2005, the RK group of Colleges has made a constant endeavour to provide quality education and a platform for overall development to its students. The journey from Group of Colleges to A State-Private University Status has been a daunting task with challenges and opportunities. It’s a collective and constant effort of RK family that we have scaled this height.

About School of Pharmacy
A constituent element of RK University, School of Pharmacy was established in 2006. It is approved by AICTE and PCI and is affiliated to RK University and Gujarat Technological University. Equipped with modern infrastructure and well-qualified faculties, the School of Pharmacy, presently offers B. Pharm and M. Pharm courses in Pharmacology & Pharmaceutics specializations. Two more Post-Graduate courses in Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance specializations are slated to start from June 2012. We firmly believe that innovation, excellence and quality are the driving forces for being a pioneer in the field of Pharmacy education. This has been achieved under the tutelage of Director - Dr. T. R. Desai, possessing 30 years of academic experience.

About Seminar
The Seminar will enrich participants about recent advances and emerging technologies in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The vital issue of strengthening PG education can be addressed only by interaction between industry experts and PG students as well as faculties during seminar sessions. Hence, in this national seminar, School of Pharmacy has invited eminent personalities from leading academic Institutes and Pharma Industries who will present their expert views and interact with the delegates. The scientific sessions are designed to promote expert deliberation on recent developments in QbD and PAT in pharmaceutical industry. Also, detailed information will be conveyed on how to draft a patent application and benefits thereof.

* Dr. Deepak Gondaliya, Deputy General Manager, F&D, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd, Vadodara, Gujarat.
* Mr. Sanjay Patel, Assistant Manager, Patent Department, Alembic Research Center Ltd, Vadodara, Gujarat, who is a registered Indian patent agent with Indian Patent Office.

Call for Poster presentation
We have great pleasure in inviting you to submit findings of your original novel research work for presentation in any one of the following categories:


Pharmaceutical Technology & NDDS    

  • Pharmacology & Toxicology
  • Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Drug Designing
  • Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry

Abstracts will be selected by scientific committee. Only 10 abstracts will be selected from each of the categories, for poster presentation.
Original novel research & review work should be sent for poster presentation. Complete abstract should be typed on A4 size paper (with all-side 1.00" margin), not exceeding 250 words. The abstract should include Title (Cambria, 14pt, bold, upper case), and centered across the page. Author(s) and affiliation (Cambria, 12pt, Sentence case, and Single space) should be centered and presenting author should be underlined. Author affiliations should also be centered and identified with number superscripts, if authors are from different affiliations. Presenting author's email address should also be given. Abstract text (Single spaced, 12pt, Cambria, Justified) should be structured to include objective of the study, material and methods, result, discussion and conclusion, followed by main references, if any (not more than three). Poster size should not be more than lm x lm. Figures and diagrams should be simple and self explanatory. Presenting author should be a registered delegate of the seminar and must be present during poster session. Soft copy (as MS Word 2007 document) of abstract should be sent through email: rkuconference2012@gmail.com on or before 20th February, 2012 for quick processing.
Also send hard copy of abstract along with filled registration form and fees. Presenting author will be notified by scientific committee through email about acceptance of the paper on or before 22nd February, 2012.
