National Conference on Recent Advances in Biosciences & Drug Discovery (RABDD-2014) at Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidyalaya | 03-04th March, 2014

Gurukul Kangri University, an elite institution of Vedic and yoga studies founded in 1902 byAryasamaj legendry figure Swami Shraddhanandaji with an objective to impart value based education in the areas of vedic literature, Indian philosophy and culture. In present University has its importance on world level in the field of veda, yoga, sciences, engineering, pharmaceutical sciences and many other new emerging areas. It is a deemed to be university fully funded by UGC/Govt. of India with four campuses in the himalyan state of India named Uttarakhand. Gurukul Kangri has been visited by many distinguished guests including C.F. Andrews, Remjy Mcdonald, Mahatma Gandhi, Madan Mohan Malviya, Rajendra Prasad, Rad ha Krishnan, Jamnalal Bajaj, Munje, Sadhu Vaswani, Jawahar Lai Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Gyani Zail Singh, L.KAdvani and Meira Kumar. It is a unique university with a perfect blend of oriental and modern studies.

About the Department
In 2006-UGC visiting committee forX plan sanctioned grant for starting B. Pharm course. University established a new faculty "Faculty of Ayurved and Medical Sciences". Department of Pharmaceutical science was established as the first department of this faculty. B.Pharm. Course was started as the first course in this department in the academic session 2007-08 with the prior approval of UGC. The course has been framed to enrich Pharmaceutical science with modern technology with the sole aim to prepare professionals who can cater to the need of medical aids and human health care in holistic manner. The Department has experienced, renowned and research oriented faculty.

The course provides a full time extensive professional training to the students in order to equip them with extraordinary technological competence so that they can discharge their services efficiently in hospitals, nursing homes, pharmaceutical industries etc. and produce medicine under GMP norms and control quality in pharmacies and other organizations.

About the Conference
The conference aim to explore the recent advances in the field of biological sciences, chemical and pharmaceutical sciences such as molecular biology, microbiology, biotechnology, environmental sciences, ecology, pharmacology, pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical technology, medicinal chemistry, synthetic chemistry, natural chemistry, physical chemistry, drug design and various other fields which are directly attached with the human life.

Objective of the conference:
• To bring new innovations in the field of biosciences, medicinal chemistry and life sciences and discuss the facts and problems comes during innovation.
• To provide a platform to senior scientist, young scientist and students together on the same platform for exchanging thought and knowledge.
RABDD-2014 will provide an opportunity for researchers, practitioners and educators to exchange research evidence, practical experiences and innovative ideas on issues related to biosciences and pharmaceutical sciences.
