This international workshop provides a unique opportunity for multidisciplinary professionals to get hands on experience on research writing. Recognition in research is not limited to great ideas alone. Penning down these ideas, and effective communication constitutes an integral part of all research. Research writing skills have assumed utmost importance in today's scientific world. The workshop aims to comprehensively address a gamut of subjects which includes basics of writing a scientific manuscript, data handling and expression, plagiarism, literature sourcing and research grant writing through interactive sessions. Case studies would focus in the area of pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences.

TARGET AUDIENCE
Undergraduate and Postgraduate students from pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences, academicians, scientist sand industry professionals who are actively engaged in research.

The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology, one of the Institute's premier departments, focuses on undergraduate and graduate teaching and research. A major strength of the department is research in the areas of Drug Discovery, Chemical Synthesis, Drug Delivery including Nano Drug Delivery, Pharmacology, Medicinal Natural Products and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology. DPST regularly organizes series of international and national conferences and workshops, and lectures by eminent scientists from across the globe. This    workshop is planned    as one such extension activity.

ASSOCIATION OF PURE AND APPLIED PHARMACOLOGY
Association of Pure and Applied Pharmacology (APAP) aims at bridging the gap between pharmacology and quality of life. Other than pure pharmacology, it focuses on areas like but not limited to clinical research, Pharmacovigilance, Pharmacoeconomics, epidemiology, data management, pharmacogenomics. APAP believes that basic pharmacology should be integrated with newer technology tools like bioinformatics, nanotechnology, genomics, proteomics & metabolomics to amalgamate pure and applied pharmacology in the quest for design of newer and improved therapeutic interventions. A major focus of APAP is on pharmacology for a healthy tomorrow through increasing awareness, education, and research activities.
