Sanjo College of Pharmaceutical Studies (SCOPS) is a multi-arched facade with a plethora of choices from the regular syllabus up to nourishing the fresh minds of students with confidence. SCOPS is at a walkable distance from the NH, with an easy access to the mainstream of the state. The college has been duly recognised by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), All India Council of Technical Education ( AICTE), and affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS).

Forest Research Institute (FRI), Dehra Dun made a humble beginning as Forest School established in 1878. Initially named as Imperial Forest Research Institute, FRI came into being in 1906.  Later renamed as Forest Research Institute and Colleges, with a number of centres located at different places all over the country administering research as well as training of Forest Officers and Forest Rangers.  After reorganization of Forestry Research in the country and creation of Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE) in 1988, the training and research centres were given an independent status of institutes. Forest Research Institute, now one of the institutes under ICFRE, was conferred the status of Deemed University in December 1991 on the recommendations of the UGC, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.

Mar Dioscorus College of Pharmacy aims to become the leader for pharmaceutical learning and research while developing and empowering the students to inspire and contribute to the society.  Pharmacy is an important branch of medical science linking chemistry with the field of medicine. The word ” pharmacy ” is coined from the greek word “pharmakon” meaning drug. The profession ensures the analysis, development and dispensing of effective drugs enhancing the wellbeing of all living beings.

The promulgation of Employees' State Insurance Act, 1948(ESI Act), by the Parliament was the first major legislation on social Security for workers in independent India. It was a time when the industry was still in a nascent stage and the country was heavily dependent on an assortment of imported goods from the developed or fast developing countries. The deployment of manpower in manufacturing processes was limited to a few select industries such as jute, textile, chemicals etc.

"We cannot compare straight away with US or Europe and say that these should be community Pharmacy and they are lagging behind. I would say that Yes! we have to improve our services and role as Pharmacist in the community pharmacy that is more important and for that knowledge is important.
