The National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, is a constituent Laboratory of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research(CSIR). Initially established in 1975 as a CSIR Complex, it was named as the Regional Research Laboratory in 1978 and later renamed as NIIST in 2007. Its mandate is to conduct research and development activities of the highest quality in areas related to effective utilization of resources of the region and of fundamental importance to the country.

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research , Guwahati is an Institute of National Importance set up by an Act of Parliament under the aegis of Dept. of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India, to impart higher education and undertake advanced research in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology. Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences established in the year 2008-09 under the aegis of Sri Sudarshan Ramanujacharula Educational Society is one of the premier pharmacy colleges imparting quality pharmaceutical education and training in India. The College is located in a beautiful campus in Peddasettypalli, Proddatur . The journey of SLVP has begun in year 2008 with B.Pharmacy programme.
