  • NIPER Invites Junior Research Fellow

    NIPER-Guwahati is the fifth such Institute to be included in the list of premier Institutes under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India. The NIPER-Guwahati started functioning from the month of September, 2008. The Institute is presently housed at the NIPS, Mirza, Kamrup, Assam.     CSIR-CSMCRI Marine Algal Research Station has been pioneer in developing seaweed farming technologies in the country. It has also commercialized many cultivation technologies impacting the social up-liftment of coastal communities. As a part of its endeavour to develop technology  on commercial cultivation of economic seaweeds through spore under NFDB, Hyderabad  funded project  entitled “Mass culture of spores and supply of plantlets for commercial cultivation of seaweeds (Gracilaria edulis) in the coastal areas of Ramanathapuram District” the field station would like to invite applications from young and dynamic candidates willing to work with creative and innovation, for following position to work.

  • Job for Junior Research Fellow at Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology

    Govt. of Himachal Pradesh took up initiative in early seventies to set up a CSIR lab to make prudential use of the natural resources of the region. After several levels of discussions a formal request was made by then Chief Minister of HP to Vice President, CSIR in 1982 for initiating the matter, and giving final shape to the proposal. The dream of HP government finally came true in 1983 when the foundation stone of this National lab was laid as CSIR Complex Palampur by Prof. Nurul Hasan, former Vice President of CSIR, with then Chief Minister of HP chairing the function.

    Established in 1984, the Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTech) is one among the chain of 37 national laboratories, 6 units and 39 outreach centres of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research. Set-up to be a fore-runner in the niche domain of microbial biotechnology, the Institute in its initial years functioned from a start-up laboratory that provided a truly world-class R&D ambience in an area of over 10,000 sq. ft. to its researchers. In September, 1989, upon completion of the permanent campus, the Institute shifted to occupy an area of about 47 acres, of which the labs covered 22 acres and the residential campus 25 acres. The Institute covering a built up area of about 3.60 lakh sq. ft., is spread over four main buildings, namely, Main R&D block, Fermentation block, Animal House, Workshop, Stores and Services area, several service building including a guest house and Cafeteria. Recently another block of almost 50000 sq. ft. area (the G.N. Ramachandran Protein Centre) has been added, to cater to R&D in all aspects of Protein science and engineering. The Institute provides laboratories which are functionally modular and offer large, air-conditioned, clean research areas to all the scientists.

Established originally as Central Indian Medicinal Plants Organisation (CIMPO) in 1959, CIMAP is steering multidisciplinary high quality research in biological and chemical sciences and extending technologies and services to the farmers and entrepreneurs of medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs) with its research headquarter at Lucknow and Research Centres at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pantnagar and Purara. CIMAP Research Centres are aptly situated in different agro-climatic zones of the country to facilitate multi-location field trials and research. A little more than 50 years since its inception, today, CIMAP has extended its wings overseas with scientific collaboration agreements with Malaysia.

    Eligible and interested candidates may attend the Interview for engagement on purely temporary basis as Project Assistants of different level/JRF/RA-Projects on contract basis in the Projects under CSIR Network Scheme, Grant-in-aid Projects and other projects sponsored by Govt. Agencies tenable at CSIR-CIMAP, Lucknow.
