About the University
Career Point University is spread over 26 acres, surrounded with lower Himalayas at Hamirpur district in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It was established in 2012 by the Himachal Pradesh Government under “Career Point Act". It is UGC approved government recognized University with the right to confer degree as per the section 2(f) & section 22(1) of the UGC Act, 1956. Career Point University's academic system works with "Student First" approach and takes all necessary actions to provide best education, training, internships, placements to the students.The academic system at University is built around experimental learning where the students are motivated to understand conceptual framework and apply them. Academic education system of the University is student centric giving students an opportunity to participate within campus or outside campus activities to enhance their knowledge and skills to understands multidisciplinary environment through practical experience. Career Point University works on "Learning beyond Classroom" concept to impart a stronger career prospective to the future leaders.

CENTRAL DRUGS STANDARD CONTROL ORGANIZATION, Under the Drug and Cosmetics Act, the regulation of manufacture, sale and distribution of Drugs is primarily the concern of the State authorities while the Central Authorities are responsible for approval of New Drugs, Clinical Trials in the country, laying down the standards for Drugs, control over the quality of imported Drugs, coordination of the activities of State Drug Control Organisations and providing expert advice with a view of bring about the uniformity in the enforcement of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi, the apex body in India for the formulation, coordination and promotion of biomedical research, is one of the oldest medical research bodies in the world.  The ICMR has always attempted to address itself to the growing demands of scientific advances in biomedical research on the one hand, and to the need of finding practical solutions to the health problems of the country, on the other.

The CSIR - Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (CSIR-IICT) is one of the oldest National Laboratories under the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR). It started as the Central Laboratories for Scientific & Industrial Research (CLSIR) by the then princely State of Hyderabad in 1944. CSIR-IICT during its seventy year journey has made its mark as a dynamic, innovative and result oriented R&D organization. The clientele spans all comers of the globe. In India it is the reliable destination of chemical and biotech industries.

Established in 1984, the Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTech) is one among the chain of 37 national laboratories, 6 units and 39 outreach centres of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research. Set-up to be a fore-runner in the niche domain of microbial biotechnology, the Institute in its initial years functioned from a start-up laboratory that provided a truly world-class R&D ambience in an area of over 10,000 sq. ft. to its researchers.

Optimus was established in the year 2004 as custom synthesis laboratory by a team of Technocrats. It is one of the fastest growing Manufacturer in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and Finished dosages. Optimus expanded into global markets and started filing DMFs for both APIs and Intermediates with various Regulatory agencies. Optimus Research Center for API & Formulations was set-up as a centralized Research and Development center to focus on Generic product developments suitable for regulated markets.

The National Institute of Immunohaematology is one of the premiere research Institutes of the ICMR, located currently in the premises of the KEM hospital, Parel, Mumbai. The centre, which was started by ICMR to solve problems in blood banking, could successfully initiate research in various other related areas of immunohaematology viz. Population Genetics, Biochemical Genetics, Antenatal Serology, Immunology, HLA and Autoimmune Disorders. Dr.H.M.Bhatia and Dr.A.J.Baxi were the main architects behind this initial programme.
